Refuse Breath Test

Woodstock man facing charges after turning police down for a roadside breath test

WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock man is facing charges after he refused to provide a breath sample to City Police.

According to officials it happened around 2:30 Thursday morning when officers were told about a suspicious vehicle in the Graham and Hunter Street area . When police spotted the vehicle, officers say the driver made a U-turn, stopped the vehicle and got out. That's when police spoke to the driver and determined he was drinking, but the driver refused the roadside breath tests.

24 year old Gregory Lyon is now charged with failing to provide a breath sample and has had his driver's licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Woodstock Police want to remind drivers that the Enhanced Festive Ride Season is upon us and Police will have R.I.D.E. spot checks set up throughout the city during the holiday season.
