Proceeds from the Tillsonburg MSC Trail Walk and Run will go to the centre itself as well as the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario
Registration forms are available for the 5th annual Tillsonburg Multi Service Centre's Trail Walk and Run.
The money raised at the event will go towards the MSC and a portion will go towards the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario. Hopes and Hearts Planner at the MSC Tina Klassen tells Heart FM why they are raising money for the centre.
"The Multi Service Centre provides just that - multiple services to all seniors and other individuals in the community, we do volunteer transportation, wheel chair transportation, we do Meals on Wheels as well along with our supportive housing and ALcom Community Services."
She says the 5 kilometre walk and run will take place on May 29th at Coronation Park through the Carroll trail.
"The trail takes place at Coronation Park just off of Van Street in Tillsonburg; it is a lovely scenic route through the Carroll trail, a portion of the Trans Canada Trail, and it is full of beautiful vistas and it has several bridges to cross and go under including a major railroad tressel from 1880."
They do ask for a minimum donation of $30 to register beforehand or $35 on the day of.
You can register by contacting Tina at klassen@multiservicecentre.com or 519-842-9008 ext 205.
