The Liberals have tabled their most recent budget, and it is being criticized by the Conservatives.
OTTAWA - Reaction comes after the Federal Liberals tabled the 2026 budget.
Oxford County MP Arpan Khanna says the Conservatives are not happy with the budget. Khanna talks about what will take place in two weeks.
"This is where we take the time to go line by line on each part of the announcement, see what the Liberals announced, see what the ROI is for Canadian taxpayers and then make our case to Canadians why we will support or oppose the budget accordingly. So, it's still some time away from the motion, but that is the next steps for us."
Khanna says Canadians will not see relief from this budget.
"They wanted to see some relief for the pocketbook issues. I think that was what they were looking for support when it comes to food, fuel, and housing. Unfortunately, they missed the mark on that."
Khanna says the Liberals have increased their spending, which will add to the debt the country is already facing. He adds that he feels in this budget there was no fiscal management made by the Liberals.
