You can still register your team for United Way Oxford's UDodge tournament on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Teams will be lined up to square off in United Way Oxford's UDodge tournament.
The competition is entering into its fifth year.
Resource Development and Data Coordinator, Brittany Taylor says there is still time to sign up.
"At this moment we have 11 teams registered with a 12th team ready to be registered. We have capability to do 16 teams, so absolutely if anybody, last minute, wants to put in a team we'd be happy to have them."
Each team will feature 8 to 10 players, 18 years or older, along with a fundraising cost of $500, working out to about $50 per person.
Taylor says the tournament is a fun time for a great cause.
"It's a great cause. We like to say it's a fun, with an emphasis on fun, fundraiser. It's a really great day to be a part of, it's just a couple of hours of your Saturday and we have some great sponsors that have come together to help bring the tournament to a whole. We have Boston Pizza coming on with lunch, we have Tim Hortons providing breakfast and we've got Trigon Construction Management. They're our title sponsor this year but they've also gone out and sought sponsorship for a bunch of really cool prizes that you can win for fundraising."
Taylor adds this year's venue has changed from Cowan Park to Huron Park Secondary School.
Proceeds from the tournament will go towards the local initiatives supported by United Way Oxford.
The UDodge Tournament will be on April 27th, going from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
If you are interested in entering a team in the competition, you can email brittany@unitedwayoxford.ca and you'll be provided with a link to register.
