Tampa Bay Wins Stanley Cup for Second Consecutive Season

The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup last night after beating the Montreal Canadiens 1-0.

TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Lightning have won the Stanley Cup once again.

They beat the Montreal Canadiens in Tampa, Florida last night 1-0, winning the championship series 4-1 in the end.

Ross Colton scored his fourth goal of the playoffs to secure the win for the Lightning. Tampa Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy also stopped 22 shots and was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

Montreal was the last Canadian team to in the Stanley Cup back in 1993, at the end of the debut season for Tampa Bay.

This the second consecutive Stanley Cup win for the Lightning. They won their championship series against the Stars 4-2 and they secured the cup after a 2-nothing win over Dallas on September 28th, 2020.
