The Community of Ayr can rest easy tonight after two arrests were made in a string of break and enters.
AYR - A pair of teenagers have been arrested after a number of break ins in the community of Ayr.
One of the teens was arrested for one of the break ins while police believe the other teen is responsible for all five in the tiny community. The break ins have occurred over the past couple of months and a number of items were stolen including money, alcohol, jewelry and electronics.
Police say during two of the break ins the homeowners actually came home and confronted the intruder, who then pulled out a knife. The two teens that were arrested are both 15 years old. One of the boys is charged with five counts of breaking and entering, five counts of wearing a disguise with criminal intent and two counts of robbery. The other teen was charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of possession of stolen property.
According to Police the boys did help them track down the stolen items and they are now working on getting them back to their rightful owners.
