Final numbers are still be tallied, with one more fundraiser to go, however the Terry Fox run in Woodstock has raised over $22,500 this year.
WOODSTOCK - Over 130 people participated in the Terry Fox Message of Hope run in Woodstock on Sunday.
Donations are still coming in, however the event has already raised over $22,500. Co-Chair of the run, John Versaevel says they have one more fundraiser tomorrow night.
"Montana's is putting on a Terry Fox Kickback night for us. We will be at the restaurant acting as shadows to the servers, the servers will take care of the tables and we will be there to answer any questions about Terry Fox or the foundation. We hope to raise some awareness about Terry Fox and the run and we hope to raise some more donations."
Montana's will donate a percentage of their proceeds between 5 and 8 p.m. tomorrow night to the local Terry Fox Foundation. Versaevel says everyone had a great time at College Avenue Secondary School on Sunday for the run. He really wanted to thank all of the volunteers who helped make this possible.
"We had 40 people working as volunteers, helping to set up the courses and the booths, we couldn't of done it without them and they are just a super group of people."
All of the money raised on Sunday will go towards the Terry Fox Foundation to help fund cancer research.
