Thamesford Drugs

Pair charged after $13000 in drugs were found in a Thamesford home

THAMESFORD - A home alarm helped Oxford OPP track down more than 13 thousand dollars worth of drugs in Thamesford. 

According to OPP, they were called to a home on Alison Road in the town Monday after a home alarm was sounded. When police arrived they claim they noticed a sizable amount of suspected drugs within the home, which was then secured until a warrant was given to allow police to continue to investigate. 
 
The warrant led to the seizure of marihuana, cannabis resin (hashish and oil) and magic mushrooms.
 
47 year old John Hamilton and 44 year old Sandy Ford, both of Thamesford are each facing the following charges:
 
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – over 30 grams 
Possession of a Schedule III substance 
Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana 
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Resin – under 1 gram 
Produce a Schedule II substance – other than marihuana 
Obstruct Peace Officer – Criminal Code of Canada
