A presentation on the Roaring 20's and the Jazz Age is happening at the Oxford County Historical Society meeting tonight at the Woodstock Museum.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Historical Society is hosting their annual meeting tonight.
It is open to the public and things get started at 6:45 pm at the Woodstock Museum. President Cathy Richards explains some of things they do at these meetings.
"We tend to have people, locally mostly, who come and talk about different aspects of life in Oxford County. Next month we will have someone from the Plattsville Heritage Society, talking about the displays they put on each summer in the former Chestermere United Church. The meetings are always open to guests, you don't have to be a member to come."
Richards says tonight's meeting will feature a guest speaker, Jim Crew, who will talk about the Roaring 20's and the Jazz age.
"He will be talking about what life was like in the Roaring 20's and part of that is Jazz age, so he will be talking about jazz music and we have someone coming who will play jazz music as part of the talk."
The meetings are free to attend and are open to the public.
