Business Vans and trailers are being targeted in Norwich and South West Oxford Townships.
NORWICH/SOUTHWEST OXFORD TOWNSHIPS - Oxford OPP are investigating several break and enters in Norwich Township and South West Oxford.
All of the break ins happened overnight between Monday and Tuesday. A number of vehicles and trailers parked in residential areas in both townships were broken into. The locks were punched on a business van parked at a home on John Street in Otterville and two DeWalt hammer drills were stolen.
More drills were taken from a business cube van on Dover Street in Otterville. Stolen was a DeWalt skill saw labelled with the letters PLV, a Dewalt cordless drill labelled with the letters JT and a Makita bag with a number of cordless and hand tools labelled LTD.
A business enclosed utility trailer on Water Street in Springford was also broken into and construction tools were taken. Same thing with a business van on Mt. Elgin Road
"The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that may be in your neighbourhoods, or travelling aimlessly up and down roads. The public should try to get descriptions, licence plate numbers and direction of travel and report this immediately to their local police service. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area."
