A 38 year old man is facing several charges including trafficking cocaine after he allegedly kidnapped two men from Tillsonburg on Friday.
DELHI/TILLSONBURG - Police have arrested a 38 year old man who allegedly kidnapped two men from Tillsonburg.
Police say 29 year old man and a 45 year old man were both kidnapped on Friday at homes in Tillsonburg and Delhi. They were taken to a Middleton address. When they arrived, one of the men fought his way to freedom, fleeing the area in a car. The man made it to a hospital in Brantford with several injuries and Brantford Police contacted the Norfolk OPP.
After investigating police have arrested Richard James Hutchinson of Kearns-McGarry Township. He is facing the following charges;
- Kidnapping while using a firearm contrary to section 279(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Discharge a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner, contrary to section 244.2(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted weapon, contrary to section 95(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs Substances Act
