Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the country isn't in a hurry to open the border to unvaccinated tourists.
At a press conference today, Trudeau said it'll be "quite a while" before that happens.
"We're not quite out of this pandemic yet. We still have to be careful, we still have to be vigilant."
The country has relaxed some border restrictions due to declining COVID-19 cases, and no longer requires double-dosed Canadians and permanent residents to quarantine for two weeks after arriving in the country.
The current border closure is set to expire on July 21st.
