He has been found guilty of two counts of sexual assault and not guilty of one count of sexual assault.
LONDON - We have a verdict in the second trial against former Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch.
This was regarding the three counts of sexual assault that he was charged with back in April 2022. The trial was held in September of last year.
During today's proceedings, Justice Spencer Nicholson found Birtch guilty of the first charge, not guilty of the second charge, and guilty of the third charge.
The first charge is connected to an incident in Turkey Point back in August 2021, the second charge is regarding an incident on April 5th, 2022, and the third charge encompasses the time frame of January 2017 until April 2022.
