The staple Victoria Day parade in Woodstock is back as the City prepares to bring in the unofficial start of summer.
WOODSTOCK - The kick-off to summer is coming quickly in Woodstock.
This Victoria Day long weekend will bring back an event that gets the city buzzing. Manager of Special Events, Kristen Brodhagen says the City spends countless hours on planning for the Victoria Day long weekend.
"So, a staple here in the City is our Victoria Day Parade, taking place Monday, May 20th starting at 10 a.m."
The event will start at Woodstock Fair Grounds and end at Southside Park. Brodhagen mentions there are going to be lots of exciting bands and marching bands in the parade along with other fun displays.
"We have three large inflatables that are 30 feet high that will be rolling through the parade. We have a lot of local floats that will be in attendance."
Brodhagen says it will happen rain or shine. Also, volunteers make the parade happen every year, and the city is still looking for people to help. If you are interested, you can visit the City of Woodstock website.
