TILLSONBURG - An employee at the Wamart in Tillsonburg has tested positive for COVID-19.
The store is remaining open at this time and they taking extra precautions, including enhanced cleaning measures. Any employee who was in close contact with the staff member has been director to self-isolate.
In an email to Heart FM news Manager of Corporate Affairs for Walmart Canada Felicia Fefer issued the following statement.
"An associate from our Tillsonburg store has tested positive for COVID-19. We are keeping the associate in our thoughts and wish them a speedy recovery. Out of an abundance of caution, employees identified as being in close contact have been directed to self-isolate and we are continuing our regular enhanced cleanings. We've contacted local health authorities and the store remains open. Rest assured, we will continue to take measures necessary to ensure the well-being of our customers and associates."
