For the first time in 11 years, the WCI senior boys basketball team is heading to OFSSA.
WOODSTOCK - The WCI senior boys basketball team is heading to OFSSA in London today.
They start the Provincial tournament off as the number 13 seed against the 7th seed Nicholson College. Head Coach Eric Molinaro says they have been using a balanced attack all year.
"We are an overall team, we shoot well, we pass well, we share the ball, play great defence and we are pretty athletic. I wouldn't say we are overly tall but we have some size and we make for a tough matchup for a lot of teams."
The double elimination tournament runs over three days. Molinaro says the guys are pumped to get on the court and are hoping to use some motivation with their low seeding.
"It's going to fun, the guys are not happy to be a number 13 seed so that is our opportunity to go in, maybe pull off an upset or two and shook the world, or should I say shock the Province."
Keep it locked onto Heart FM for updates on how the boys are doing. The tournament will last three days at two locations in London.
