Mother nature will offer a meager attempt at a white Christmas.
OXFORD COUNTY - If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, you might have to keep dreaming!
Warm temperatures, high winds and rain moving into the region have prompted Environment Canada to issue a Special Weather statement.
A developing low pressure system over the American Midwest is moving towards the Great Lakes and should move into southern Ontario for Tuesday, bringing above seasonal temperatures and rain.
Mild, rainy weather is expected again on Christmas Eve with temperatures reaching the high single digits in many areas with some locales nudging into the low teens.
On Christmas Day, mother nature will offer a meager attempt at a white Christmas in many areas as cooler temperatures, strong winds and some flurries are likely although don't expect much if any accumulation for a white Christmas.
Environment Canada says weather model guidance have had many discrepancies with these systems and say they are continuing to monitor this developing weather. Further weather statements and or warnings will be issued if necessary.
