The Woodstock Art Gallery invites people to relive their childhood with the Art of The Warner Brothers Exhibit.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery has had a great start to the Art of the Warner Brothers Cartoon exhibit since the opening day.
Since November, 10. 2018 the exhibit has seen quite the response from the Friendly City. The Warner Brothers exhibit has all the classic cartoon characters from Bugs Bunny to Tweety Bird and more. The gallery is even showcasing how the movies were made in production and how sketches came to life. Director and Curator of Woodstock Museum, Mary Reid says the exhibit has been a big hit.
"We've seen tremendous response to this exhibit, lots of people have been coming in and there's lots of new but young people coming. But a lot of people are coming in to relive childhood memories and introducing their kids to new ones."
Reid also said that the Warner Brothers are more Canadian than some people think.
"Jack Warner who was one of the Warner brothers and founding members of the Hollywood studio was actually born in London, Ontario. And then we do have a series of 6 drawings by Charlie Thorson he was a Canadian animator who worked for Disney and went over to Warner Brothers. He was the first person to make a concept sketch of Bugs Bunny."
You can check out the exhibit yourself by visiting the Woodstock Art Gallery before January, 5th. 2019. Admission is free.
