Around 500 people are taking part in Woodstock Day at the Roger's Centre.
WOODSTOCK - Around 500 residents of Woodstock are taking part in Woodstock Day at the Roger's Centre. This is the 11th year that Woodstock Day is being held in part due to a connection between the City of Woodstock and Ted Rogers. Manager of Community Services at the City of Woodstock Brad Janssen shares a bit of history about Woodstock Day.

Residents like Woodstock City Councillor Jerry Acchione were excited at the prospect of seeing the Jays go to bat against the Atlanta Braves. Heart FM Reporter Cody Hayward was live on one of the buses travelling to Toronto.
Janssen said a special presentation would be made to one local resident.
8 year old Gavin Wright has been chosen to throw the opening pitch. Gavin is joined by friends and family who are also celebrating his 8th birthday today. Gavin's mother Leslie Wright said he has been practicing all week to throw the pitch
