This isn't your typical Easter Egg hunt, prizes up for grabs include an iPad Mini and bicycles.
WOODSTOCK - Two Easter Egg Hunts are joining together at a new venue to bring more treats to more kids. Over 7 thousand eggs will be hidden in the at the Woodstock Fairgrounds on Sunday April 5th.
The Calvary Church Easter Egg hunt has joined forces with the YMCA, Erb Signs, and the City of Woodstock to host one massive egg hunt. The Easter celebration will take place at on the infield of the race track at the Woodstock Fairgrounds. It should be an egg-cellent time.
"At 11:30 the siren will go off, and you can go into the field. So all age groups all at once, so we're trying to make it nice and efficient - no waiting around. And then the age categories are separated so we're not going to have those 2 year olds with the 11 year olds. We're going to have 4 different divisions which is fantastic," said Melissa Morris, supervisor of Membership Sales & Service and Health & Wellness of the YMCA.
The age groups range from 2 and 3 year olds, 4 and 5 year olds, grades 1-3, and grades 4 - 6. Each of these groups will then search for eggs in their own quadrants all at the same time.
Morris says that inside some of those eggs will be special prizes.
The event plans to go rain or shine, and is free for all to attend.
