The Woodstock Kitten Nursery & Rescue is currently in the process of building a new nursery and it's hoping to raise $70,000 for the project.
WOODSTOCK/OXFORD CENTRE - The Woodstock Kitten Nursery & Rescue is in the process of building a new nursery for the felines in their care.
The old nursery used to be in Founder Cathy Black's basement, but she recently moved to Oxford Centre. She says they currently have five cats and three litters of kittens in their care.
"They are basically in our home because we're building a new nursery. We've moved and we've got a bigger property with a big shop that we're renovating to be the new nursery."
The new nursery will include a Veterinarian Room, Nursery Neonatal Room, 5 Birthing/Family Rooms, Isolation/Triage Rooms, Cat Adoption/Social Room, Volunteer Area, Kitchen/Prep Room and Storage. The renovation is expected to cost about $70,000 in the end.
Nursery Assistant Linda Taylor says there's lots of ways members of the public can help out.
"We're building the nursery currently and we can certainly use donations towards the Tiny Paws Nursery Building Fund as well as some volunteers to come out and do some labour and clean up. Anytime they could volunteer would be great!"
