ISAN Oxford will be hosting A Night for Truth, Conversation, and Reconcili-Action at the Ingersoll Public Library next week.
INGERSOLL - It's a great opportunity to learn more about the Indigenous Solidary and Awareness Network (ISAN) of Oxford County and what it's all about.
Founder and Director Patricia Marshal says ISAN will be hosting A Night for Truth, Conversation, and Recocnili-Action at the Ingersoll Public Library on Wednesday January 10th.
"We're just asking for people to stop by, have a conversation with us, watch the video that we're going to present about the seven sacred teachings in fourth directions, and listen to the panel discussion we're going to have about the relevance of truth and reconciliation."
She adds the event is open to everyone, whether you have Indigenous heritage or not.
"We've come to this point where we can't live completely unaffected by each other but we can walk together in a good way moving forward and try to live in mino-bimaadiziwin which is to walk in a good way in Anishinaabemowin."
A Night for Truth, Conversation, and Reconcili-Action will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening and there's no registration required. There will be some drinks and snacks provided to those who attend.
