Two people have been arrested and one of them faces a list of charges.

BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Two officers sustained minor injuries during an incident in Blandford-Blenheim Township.

Police say they were notified about a possible stolen vehicle close to Highway 401 and Oxford Road 29 at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The two officers spoke with the two people in the vehicle and that's when they were injured. The two people resisted arrest and took off, damaging a police cruiser in the process.

They were later identified and arrested thanks to help from the Guelph Police Service.

A 20-year-old woman from Cambridge has been charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, dangerous operation, flight from a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.

The second person remains in custody and has not been charged at this time.
