Those experiencing financial hardships will be able to enjoy a traditional turkey dinner this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock-Oxford Rotary Club is getting ready for its Rotary Christmas Community Free Table.
It will be taking place at Epiphany Church in Woodstock this Saturday. It's for those who may be experiencing financial hardships over the holidays but would like to have a warm meal, see a friendly face, and feel a sense of community over the holiday season.
Past-President John Narcisian says it's a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings.
"It's a hot meal prepared with care shared around a table with volunteers sitting and eating alongside our guests. Food brings people together and at our table, the meal is always served with love and respect."
He adds a special guest will also be making an appearance.
"We are thrilled that Santa Claus will be making a special visit and he won't be coming empty handed! There will be gifts for everyone because Christmas is about joy, wonder and reminding everyone, especially children, that they are seen and valued."
The Woodstock-Oxford Rotary Club hosts a community free table at Epiphany Church every Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., providing a warm meal for those in need. You can contact the club if you're interested in donating, volunteering or becoming a community partner.
