WPS say a man riding a dirt bike on Marlboro street on Monday afternoon tried to avoid police by maneuvering between traffic, riding on the sidewalk and accelerating across four lanes of traffic.
WOODSTOCK - A 33 year old man from Woodstock is facing several charges including flight from police after a dangerous traffic stop on Marlboro Street Monday afternoon.
Officers tried to pull over the driver who was on a dirt bike without a helmet. The man tried to avoid police by maneuvering the bike around traffic, riding up onto a sidewalk and accelerating across four lanes of traffic on Dundas Street. Police located the male at a nearby residence where the male was arrested.
The 33 year old Woodstock male has been charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
- Dangerous Operation
- Flight from Peace Officer
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
