A statement misunderstood last week has been clarified by Doug Ford.
OXFORD COUNTY - Doug Ford is against the proposed landfill coming to Oxford County.
That is what he said in a letter after his statement was misunderstood on Thursday.
While visiting Tillsonburg last week, the PC leader stated that he trusts and supports the current MPP and PC candidate, Ernie Hardeman when asked about the landfill.
Ernie talks about clarifying the statement.
"He spoke about me and he spoke about the bill as he said he was going to leave that in my capable hands. The reporter took from that to mean that he wasn't supporting it, or he wasn't saying whether he would support it or not. So we wanted that clarified that he was supporting the bill."
Hardeman says it is good to see the party and it's leader agree on the issue.
"Everyone of our caucus has spoke for it and positively on it and voted for it. It was good to make sure of course, the leader wasn't there, so it was good to get his position on it going forward."
