A fire that started on the roof of Young's Pharmacy in downtown Ingersoll on Thursday has had an impact on a couple of local businesses.
INGERSOLL - A fire in Downtown Ingersoll has impacted a few local businesses.
The fire happened at Young's Pharmacy on Thursday, while they were getting a new roof installed. The blaze caused smoke and water damage to Young's Pharmacy.
McKims Home Hardware and Floral Occasions next door also were hit with smoke damage from the fire. All three businesses have been closed to in person shopping since the fire happened on Thursday.
Young's Pharmacy has been working out of Lesser Jewellers. Right now they're asking for 3-4 days notice to refill prescriptions and thank customers for their patience while they get the pharmacy restored.
McKim Home Hardware posted on Facebook they will be closed for the rest of this week and hope to re-open Monday July 4th. No word at this time as to when Young's Pharmacy will be ready to welcome back customers.
The fire caused extensive damage to all three stores, with the bulk of the damage at Young's Pharmacy. No word on a damage estimate at this time.
