Starting this week, residents in Tillsonburg and Ingersoll will be able to visit their library on Sundays.
Tillsonburg and Ingersoll residents can now get their library fix seven days a week.
Starting this Sunday, both branches will offer service from 1-4 pm on Sundays.
Chief Librarian Lisa Miettinen says this will be part of a three month trial.
"The Library Board has been thinking of offering Sunday hours for several years now in recognition of the fact that many libraries do and we have heard over the year many people say they wish we were open on Sundays."
"We are going to try it on a trial basis so for three months we will have Sunday hours then we will assess the use and the Board will decide whether it's something that will continue."
"We're planning on offering basic library service. We're hoping it will be a time that people will be able to come in, relax, read the paper and magazines, get their reading material for the week. We will probably have a slightly lower staffing presence on Sunday afternoons so there will be certain things such as technology training that we wont be offering on Sundays."
The Sunday hours will run from 1-4 pm March 16 to June 15.
