The City of Woodstock is looking to add an indoor gym to the City.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council has looked at their future Parks and Rec plans.
Director of Parks and Recreation for Woodstock, Brian Connors talks about the highlights of the plans.
"Highlights that we are working on for future investment is a trail system. We are still in negotiations with the UTRCA to see if we can get some more trails in the city, so that was one of them."
Brian Connors continues, talking about a possible new gym for the City of Woodstock.
"The other piece was an indoor gym. We were looking at some schools, we were also looking to see if we could do a partnership with Southgate, but right now since we are taking over the operation of Cowen Park, it looks like one of the most economical ways to get the gym is to do a redevelopment. So just changing out the floor at the community centre at Cowen Park."
The City of Woodstock is still looking at all possibilities for the gym, and other possible plans for Parks and Rec in Woodstock.
