OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region this afternoon.
The main threats today are heavy rain and strong wind gusts. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Hail is also possible. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
The potential for thunderstorms in our region start around 5 pm and should last throughout the early evening.
