Southwestern Public Health is reporting 72 active cases of COVID-19 in the region after confirming 5 new cases today and 6 resolved cases.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 5 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 6 recoveries.
This means we now have 72 ongoing cases within the health unit and you can find the complete break down below;

Norwich Township - 3
Tillsonburg - 3
East Zorra-Tavistock - 3
Ingersoll - 1
Blandford-Blenheim - 1
Aylmer - 14
Central Elgin - 7
St. Thomas - 5
One person is currently being treated for the virus in the ICU.
Only one active outbreak remains in effect at this time; the Arches Transitional Bed Program in Woodstock. It was first declared last Tuesday and only one staff member has tested positive since then. Southwestern Public Health has screed 26 people for a variant of concern, of those cases, 15 are still active.
