Nunsense The Musical is about five nuns who have to hold a fundraiser to raise money to buy dozens of other nuns who passed away from food poisoning.
TILLSONBURG - The next show at Theatre Tillsonburg will be filled with lots of.... nunsense.
Kelly Baker tells us about the interesting plot line for Nunsense The Musical.
"It's nothing you would expect when you think about a bunch of nuns at a convent. It's actually set around a fundraiser that five nuns are holding to be able to afford to bury dozens of our nuns who accidentally died of food poisoning. The show is also set in a school auditorium where the kids at that school are performing Grease, so our backdrop is Grease with the Grease logo and a jukebox. So it brings lots of fun!"
The show also breaks the fourth wall, with lots of opportunities for the audience members to join in on the fun and potentially win some prizes.
Baker tells us about the character she's playing, Sister Mary Hubert.
"I'm second in command. My goal through the whole show is I always want to upstage Reverend Mother Superior, who is the boss and we all know she's the boss, but I'm constantly trying to get in her face and be the boss sometimes."
Nunsense The Musical will make its debut on Thursday February 8th and there will be eight performances total, including to Sunday matinees. Tickets cost $25 each and they can be purchased on the Theatre Tillsonburg website.
Baker stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Thursday January 25th. You can listen to the full interview below:
