Norfolk OPP arrested and charged three men after a break-and-enter in Waterford. The incident happened last Wednesday just before 11 p.m.
WATERFORD - A break-and-enter in Waterford leads to charges.
Norfolk OPP responded to a business on St. James Street South last Wednesday at 10:55 p.m., as three men broke into the building and stole alcohol.
It was a short time later, that officers stopped the suspects on Highway 24 in Townsend and took them into custody.
As a result, a 20-year-old from Haldimand is charged with Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero, Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available, Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis in open baggage, Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor, Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, Possession of break-in instruments, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, and Theft under $5,000.
Also, a 23-year-old from Haldimand is facing charges of Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place, Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, Possession of break-in instruments, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, and Theft under $5,000.
Lastly, a 25-year-old from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation is charged with Having open container of liquor in unauthorized place, Break, enter a place - commit indicatable offence, Possession of break-in instruments, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court, and Theft under $5,000.
All three are set to appear in Simcoe Court on Tuesday, December 19th of this year.
