Parents being asked to keep children away from waterways this March Break
Parents are being reminded to keep their children away from waterways this March Break.
While no significant flooding is expected, the Upper Thames Conservation Authority is reminding parents that many streams and ditches are still hidden by snow and that ice is unstable and stream banks are slippery this year and the water is very cold.
While temperatures are expected to warm slightly this week, the Conversation Authority is expecting some melting of the snow and some localized drainage issues.
