Heart FM's Marcie Culbert chats with Warden David Mayberry about an electric vehicle charger feasibility study, local pilot testing for automated vehicles and Oxford's audited financial statements.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County Warden David Mayberry talks with Heart FM's Marcie Culbert about the county's audited financial statements, an electric vehicle charger feasibility study and local pilot testing of automated vehicles.
The latest financial statements show a year end budget surplus of $2,522,614 for Oxford County. Mayberry says that money will go into reserves and some of it will be used this year.
County Council is expected to endorse the electric vehicle feasibility study on Wednesday. The report by CUTRIC acts as a guide for both private and public sector investment in electric vehicle charging stations,
Council is also going to discuss a local test for automated vehicles. The Ontario Good Roads Association is preparing a test route from Ottawa to Windsor, and Mayberry says it could go through Oxford.
