An altercation between two men has resulted in charges laid.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have laid charges after an assault in the City.
Yesterday, officers responded at 10 a.m. to the area of Blossom Park Road and Devonshire Ave to reports of a man suffering from a head injury. Upon investigation, it was determined the man was involved in an altercation with another man and was struck by a tree limb. The victim went to the hospital and received stitches.
As a result, a 26-year-old Woodstock man is facing charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, obstructing a Peace Officer, and failure to comply with a release order.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
