Another Staff member at Secord Trails LTC in Ingersoll has tested positive for COVID-19. We also had another recovery confirmed today in the City of Woodstock.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Another staff member at the Secord Trails Long Term Care home in Ingersoll has tested positive for COVID-19.
Thus far 8 staff members at the LTC home have tested positive for the virus, since the institutional outbreak was declared last week. No residents have tested positive for the virus. The staff member does not live in Oxford County.
We also had another recovery to report today in the City of Woodstock. Which means we now have 9 active cases of COVID-19 in Oxford County and 2 in St. Thomas/Elgin County.

- 1 case in East Zorra Tavistock
To date, the Health Unit has tested 4,170 people for COVID-19. We have 73 cumulative confirmed cases, 58 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 11 active cases. We have also had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved. The new institutional outbreak is at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. Thus far 8 employees at the long term care home have tested positive for the virus. All staff and residents have been tested.
