London man charged following an alleged break and enter in Norwich Township
NORWICH -- Oxfrord OPP have laid a charge of break and enter after a homeowner in Norwich Township got a scare on Friday.
Police say a man returned to his Evergreen Street home around 10:30 Friday morning to find a man sitting in the driveway inside a vehicle. The man claimed he was lost and asked the homeowner for directions before taking off.
The break in was called into police just after.
An investigation led police to a set of footprints leaving the scene believed to belong to a second suspect involved in the break-in.
Several officers including members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP airplane assisted with a search of the area and arrested one male suspect nearby on foot.
27 year old Kenneth Hoy of London was charged with break and enter and held for a bail hearing at the Woodstock Courthouse.
