INGERSOLL - Save your empties as a bottle drive is happening next week in the Town of Ingersoll for 3 year old Lincon Bechard.
Lincon is a happy little boy, but his life changed drastically when he had a stroke, brain injury at 14 months old. had to get an emergency decompressive craniotomy. He spent 2 months in the ICU and 1 month in rehabilitation and at first they said he wouldn't make it, and if he did, he wouldn't have much brain capacity.
Lincon's mom, Chloe Ribaric says he has done more than the doctors had thought, he still cannot walk but he can sit unassisted.
"He can't talk anymore, he makes lot's of noises, he can't make words though. He can't walk anymore, like he is an wheelchair and his vision is really impaired from it."
His family is trying to raise funds so they can purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle a new bath seat, wheel chair ramps and a specialized bed.
The bottle drive is happening from June 1st to the 14th and they will be collecting bottles at Lincon's home at 345 King Street West.
They also have a GoFundMe page if you want to donate directly.
