Curlers - and people who have never curled before - are invited to help Rock the Fund for the Children's Aid Society
INGERSOLL - The Children's Aid Society of Oxford County is hosting it's second annual Rock the Fund Curling Bonspiel.
Teams of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to sign up for the weekend event at the Ingersoll Curling Club on Saturday February 27th. Coordinator of Development for the local CAS Ron Archer tells Heart FM all of the money raised will go towards their Endowment fund.
"It's for the endowment fund, all of our money goes toward the endowment, which is for post secondary education for kids going onto college or university or helping out with kids' camps."
Archer says they have some great prizes that will be up for grabs.
"We have four round trip tickets on Via Rail to Toronto and back, we have some really great Blue Jays tickets, and a signed Glenn Howard jersey and it's all thanks to Pharmasave in Ingersoll and Woodstock who have paid for our ice time."
Right now they still have a couple of spots open if you want to register. It does cost $240 to enter a team and that will get you 4 games guaranteed. You can sign up online HERE
