Everyone is experiencing loss on some level right now, whether it be the loss of a loved one, the loss of employment, or the cancellation or postponement of large and significant celebrations like weddings, concerts or graduation.
OXFORD COUNTY - CMHA Oxford is hosting a live webinar on Facebook tomorrow at noon.
They will be talking about grief in isolation with Christine Hillis, an Urgent Needs Case Manager with CMHA Oxford.
Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator Kathlene Campbell-Conlon says everyone is experiencing loss on some level right now.
"It can mean the loss of a loved one, the loss of employment, or the cancellation or postponement of large and significant celebrations like weddings, concerts or graduation."
Campbell-Conlon adds we are also losing familiar patterns of our daily life and social interactions as we watch our society shift.
"It is hard to recognize this and hard to recognize when to seek support. We do have one of our clinicians will be speaking about that on Thursday at this webinar. People can join us on Facebook Live or watch the video afterwards and just learn a little bit more about recognizing what it means to experience grief during this time and when you should seek support."
This free webinar will provide insight into recognizing grief, normalizing grief, and personal supports. Hillis will also be available for questions. You can watch the video live on Thursday at noon and it will be posted in it's entirety afterwards on the CMHA Oxford Facebook page which you can find here.
