RAKEverywhere will be donating the proceeds from their Yuk Yuk's Comedy night to PTSD BattleCry: A Canadian Call to Arms
WOODSTOCK - RAK Everywhere is inviting everyone who loves to laugh out for a comedy show with a lot of heart.
The Yuk Yuk's Comedy night is in support of Jeremy MacKnott's 12 000 kilometre walk across Canada to raise awareness and funds for PTSD.
RAK Everywhere co-founder Lorri Horton says they know how busy MacKnott is preparing for his walk, and they wanted to be able to help him in some way. "And he's so busy organizing his walk and permits and everything. So this is our small way of helping him. So we're hoping to raise at least a couple thousand dollars to donate toward him and the cause."
You'll have to act quickly if you want to get your hands on some tickets though. "There are very, very few tickets - we actually just had to release more," Horton says. "There are probably 20 or 30 tickets left and I'm getting emails and calls every day."
This show has been a big success in the past, and Horton says they are looking forward to another year of laughter. "They always feel great. They always ask when the next one is. We always sell out - it never fails. And now people are also staying more to the end for the dance and silent auction. We always have a good time."
The night includes performances from three comedians, a dance, and a silent auction. They will even have roses available for purchase since it's so close to Valentine's Day.
The show is on Saturday February 13th at 8:00p.m. at Goff Hall.
To see if there are still tickets available email Lorri.Horton@RAKEverywhere.org or call 226-228-8028.
