Southwestern Public Health is investigating after a dog bit someone on Clark Road in Ingersoll Monday evening.
INGERSOLL- Southwestern Public Health is asking for the public's help locating a dog that could be involved in a biting incident.
The victim was travelling on Clark Road in Ingersoll around 7:15 p.m. Monday when he found a woman who had fallen in the street. He was attempting to assist the woman when her dog bit him.
The owner is a woman believed to be approximately 50-60 years of age. Her dog is described as looking like a terrier with tan-coloured fur and weighing about 20 lbs.
Public health needs information about this dog in order to assess for risk of exposure to the rabies virus. If you have any information please call the Southwestern Public Health Team at 1-800-922-0096.
