EZT man facing several drug related charges following an explosion early Saturday morning
EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK - A local man is facing several charges following an explosion this past weekend in East Zorra Tavistock.
It happened just before 6 Saturday morning on Tropicana Crescent in Sun Park Hidden Valley on Highway 59 North.
The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit along with Oxford County OPP members conducted a search warrant at the home and seized cannabis marihuana, hashish, and prescription pills, with an estimated value of $1,800.
As a result of the investigation 40 year old Andrew Miles of East-Zorra Tavistock Township has been charged with the following:
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Other Drugs (2 counts) ~ Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
· Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – over 30 grams ~ CDSA
· Produce a Schedule II Substance (other than marihuana) ~ CDSA
· Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis resin – over 1 gram ~ CDSA
· Mischief Endangering Life ~ Criminal Code of Canada
· Fail to Comply with Recognizance ~ Criminal Code of Canada ( 6 counts)
Miles is being held in custody and the Fire Marshall is continuing with the fire investigation.
