The Pharmasave Woodstock Dragon Boat Festival has returned to the friendly city.
WOODSTOCK - The Pharmasave Woodstock Dragon Boat Festival is back.
It will take place at Pittock Conservation Area on August 10th and is hosted by the Woodstock Rotary Club. Rotary Club member, Dave Harris says this is a big event and any help is appreciated.
"It takes a lot of volunteers to put this event on, and like many organizations finding volunteers post pandemic has been a challenge."
Harris adds you don't have to be an adult to volunteer.
"We are looking for younger kids. Teenagers looking for those community hours to come down and work on the docks through the day. We have a morning shift and an afternoon shift."
Tasks that you would be helping with include helping people in and out of boats, and bailing boats out of the water. Harris mentions having people help with parking in the morning would be great as well.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you can visit the festival's website.
