Perth County OPP say they caught a 37 year old man from East Zorra-Tavistock driving a stolen van towing a stolen utility trailer.
TAVISTOCK - Perth County OPP say they caught a man red handed with a stolen trailer and van.
Police were called last Saturday morning about a man driving a white van who had just stolen a trailer from a home in Tavistock.
Officers stopped the van, which was towing the trailer a short time later in Perth County. They determined the van had also been stolen from a business in New Hamburg the previous night and the driver was prohibited from driving.
The same suspect was also involved in a theft of fuel that had occurred at a property on Line 33, in the Township of Perth East last Friday, according to Police.
A 37 year-old man from East Zorra-Tavistock was arrested with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by crime over $5000
- Operation While Prohibited
- Failure to Comply with release order
- Theft Under $5000
- Drive motor vehicle - not equipped with ignition interlock device
