Thanks to a report from a passerby, Woodstock Fire was able to quickly deal with a late night fire.
WOODSTOCK - An estimated $300 000 worth of damage was caused by a fire at Houser's Lane.
Woodstock Fire received the call around 10:27 p.m. last night when a passerby noticed smoke and flames. The Fire Department was able to put the fire out quickly, but stayed on the scene to deal with hot spots as the flames had made their way into the roof trusses.
The cause of the blaze has been determined to be accidental through investigation: a heat source was left too close to combustable materials.
