You can still set off fireworks in Zorra Township for the Victoria Day long weekend. The City of Woodstock banned fireworks this year during the May 24 long weekend because of COVID-19.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Residents in Zorra Township can set off consumer fireworks on their private property 2 days prior to and 2 days following Canada Day, Labour Day & Victoria Day before 11:00 p.m.
They are asking residents to give your neighbour a friendly reminder and let them know when you plan to set off fireworks.
The sale of fireworks can be advertised in the Township 21 days prior to Canada Day/Labour Day/Victoria Day & sold 7 days preceding Canada/Labour/Victoria Days, with approved Township permit. Breaking those rules can get you a $200 fine.
