The Woodstock Art Gallery, Theatre Woodstock, the Woodstock Museum, and Gallery Cinemas are teaming up for a full day of family fun.
WOODSTOCK - You can foster some creativity and gain a little historical knowledge this Family Day.
The Woodstock Art Gallery, Woodstock Museum, and Theatre Woodstock are all taking part in some free Family Day activities.
The day kicks off with a movie at the Gallery Cinema which Director and Curator of the Woodstock Art Gallery Mary Reid says is usually pretty popular.
"We have lots going on for Family Day which actually starts 9:30 in the morning on the Monday morning, bright and early, at Gallery Cinemas. We're screening Kung Fu Panda 3. So tickets for those at $5, you have to get them at the Gallery, but then we will still be selling some at the Gallery Cinemas if we're not sold out. I should warn everybody that we do tend to sell out."
After the movie ends things open up at the other locations according to Reid. "But this is an entire free family event with the exception of the morning movie. And the gallery, the museum, and the theatre open up at 11 o'clock and it will run until 3 in the afternoon."
The Art Gallery will have some fun drop in activities, the Museum will take you on a culinary trip to wartime 1917, and Theatre Woodstock will take you behind the curtain. All those activities are free thanks to Senator Homes.
