Oxford County experienced delays yesterday and they're advising residents who have garbage and recycling collections scheduled for pick-up on May 4th, that some curbside pick-ups will happen today instead.
TOWNSHIP OF ZORRA/INGERSOLL - Residents in the Township of Zorra and Ingersoll will see garbage and recycling collection delays.
Oxford County is advising residents with garbage and recycling collection scheduled for pick-up on May 4th that some curbside pick-ups will take place today instead.
There were delays in Oxford County with yesterday’s collection, the first day under a new service contractor, as routes were operated by waste collectors for the first time.
Routes from yesterday that will be collected on May 5th include:
- Zorra Township: Road 84 between 29th and 31st Line; parts of Hunt Road; County Road 60 between 25th and 27th Line
- Embro: Commissioner Street west of Ross Street
- Thamesford: Partial areas both north and south Highway 2 and part of the area west of Highway 19
- Ingersoll: Northwest part of town.
Customers living in these areas whose garbage and recycling were not collected should place their materials out again on May 5th.
You can call 1-800-755-0394 to report a missed pick up.
Residents who may experience delays in other communities this week are asked to check here for collection updates or follow Oxford County on Facebook or Twitter.
Oxford County thanks residents for their patience during this change-over.
